Axis/Vegas Spotted

When you see an Axis or Vegas traveling, spot it here. I'll start;

Axis Night Life pulling a toad traveling north on Highway 41 just north of Evansville Indiana between 4 and 5 PM today. Was it someone who posts here? I was getting gas and could not catch up. If it was you then you know there were wind gusts of 50 MPH so it was very hard to drive.

I like your suggestion. I've yet to see one while traveling but will post if I spot one.

There is another 24.1 in the lot where we store ours. Showed up just last week.

We store ours up in Washington state and so far travelled Wash, Oregon and Idaho. Other than on the dealers lots have yet to see one other than ours anywhere. We get lots of attention in the RV parks, lots of questions. It seems that there is great interest in the shorter Class A's.

Finally saw one out in the wild today!

A Vegas going down the highway (Up? It was travelling North whilst I was going South). They were flat towing a car up I-275 in the Detroit suburbs. I doubt it was anyone in the forums here though...

Not me

Wasn't me. I'll look for others and post when I see one. I've got a good shot on our trip this week.

Saw a Vegas in the campground (Lurleen Wallace SP) we camped at near Tuscaloosa, AL 3 weeks ago when we saw the air show. Was going to mention it here but slipped my mind until I saw this. Had NC tag and wanted to say "howdy" but never saw anyone around their campsite. Only one I've seen "in the wild".

We only saw one Axis/Vegas in our 8000 mile trip from Key Largo to Nova Scotia last summer, but we have seen three or four in the Florida Keys this winter. We'll keep count on our trip to Alaska.

We are off from Ferndale WA down to Death Valley and into Arizona on Saturday. We shall keep our eyes on the alert for other Axis on the roads

If there isn't a picture, it didn't happen!

We used to do this same in-the-wild "spotting" on a PopUp camper message board. But, the post had to include a picture, or it never happened.

LOL I can see the reasoning (and its a mantra that is internet wide!).

In my case it would have been very difficult to grab a pic unless I had a dashcam on my car always recording.

Besides since its really just a casual thread of discussion why is such "proof" even necessary? Are we really going to get into arguments like: "Nope I don't believe you that a Vegas was parked at the Louisville KOA on the 14th"?? (If we are then this bunch of people is far less civil than I've been led to believe! )

Saw One!

An Axis with a red tow vehicle traveling on 55 or 57 (I'm so tired right now I don't remember) northbound at the IL/MO line.

Who was it? Someone from this group I hope. I'll look for others and post here when I see another. I hope.

I'm in southern Texas right now.

Phil

We saw one last week on the pirateland campsite. This what got this whole thing started for us. I chatted with the owners a bit (a middle aged woman with her mother) but did not get to see inside. Now I have been snooping on the internet trying to learn more about it.

I guess this counts as a sighting. We just took ownership of a 2016 24.1 yesterday. As I manage the frightening feelings of purchasing the largest depreciating asset of my life, we take our maiden voyage to Disney World. I'll be ping-ing this form pretty regularly enough, as I've been lurking for some time, and have found JamieGeek's posts enlightening.

Two Vegas in Skagway AK

Spotted a blue Vegas in Skagway AK, along with our orange one. Not many RVs here. Funny to have two Vegas'. Getting ready to put ours on the ferry to Haines AK tomorrow and continue up the AlCan to Anchorage and Denali.
