Back Again

Hurricane Florence totaled my 2017 Thor Gemini. I had moved it to higher ground but we had a 11 feet tidal surge and were not prepared for that amount of water. I have located a 2015 Thor Chateau with approximately 27K miles. Any personal reviews, issues, etc. would be helpful. Thanks.

Glad to hear that you made it back; in spite of all that got thrown your way!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Apparently your insurance came through for you.

Some things can be replaced, like RVs. 11 feet of water is a devastating blow!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Glad to see you moving forward.

I had moved my RV to New Bern and at last minute I decided to spend some time in JAX, FL with a RVN buddy. Would have been okay in New Bern but my 6 ft "flood ramp" wasn't high enough to keep the water out of the mower. But with elevation that was actually close to 9 feet.

So sorry to hear about your Gemini. You were asking about a 2015 Chateau. What model? I own a 2015 Chateau 28F and absolutely love it. It’s great for 2 people since I have the entertainment center above the cab. The king bed is wonderful now that we put a 3” topper on it. We have around 23,000 miles on it and have only preformed scheduled maintenance on it. Well, to be honest, we are always tweaking stuff like you do on any RV, but nothing major. Runs good up the mountains here in Colorado. We have taken it to Tucson the last two winters and lived in it for 2 to 3 months..
good luck.
