Back up camera.

Hi. i just bought a new 2019 Thor Fourwinds 25V. The Axxera back up camera is very washed out and hard to see cleary during sunny days on the highway. I have adjusted the brightness, contrast etc. and even put on a anti-glare screen but hasn't seemed to help. Does anyone else have this issue?

Mine had a loose wire connection at the camera end and was doing that intermittently. Tightened it and it’s worked flawlessly since- about a year.

I know on mine, I have had the same issue as you since day one. I believe its the pour quality of the Axxera and the only real fix is a new and better system. Do check all of the connections under the dash for the cameras. You will find a many be a 3x3 box with 3 screw type ends going into the box from each camera and one out. Also try and get to the back of radio for those connections.

I had a lot of trouble with the backup camera and Axxera radio in my Axis because of the quality of the screen and the angle of the screen to the driver. I bought a Garmin 770 and plugged the backup camera into that and it is a world of difference. I can position the Garmin closer to me and to my eye level, so I don’t have to look down and I can angle it so it points directly at me. The screen resolution is also much better. It’s not the camera.
