Put the USE/STORE switch in the STORE position to prevent the AC converter from charging the battery.

I was under the impression while it's plugged into shore it's charging? I'm doing some work to it this weekend so I'll have to leave it plugged in would the. Hanging stop by setting the circuit breaker in the battery compartment?

Batteries cannot charge if use/store switch is in store position.

Putting Use/Store in store disconnects batteries from the converter. However, I'm an old afct maint officer and none of my people ever would have changed a battery while connected to running g ground power. If you are changing s battery it makes no sense to be connected to shore power.

If you have 1 battery and you know it's bad -> disconnect the terminals! If you have 2 batteries... either disconnect/bypass the bad one or disconnect them all until you get both replaced.
