Had the same problem here until I explained to DW "If you can't see my face in the mirrors, I can't see you" , seemed to help some.

Now at least can see her while I back in. Her hand signals look a little bit like Elaine on Seinfeld dancing...
It's pretty entertaining.

W and hand signals, for me has been impossible. Sailed for many years and W would never take the helm while looking for anchoring. Wind blowing, engine running next to cockpit, hard of hearing, worked out hand signals I don't know how many times, W always insisted "shouting" back which most times is near impossible. Only signals I could interpret were, when W was waving her hands in distress and screaming, time to "stop".

When we had the 5th wheel we bought the walkie talks but that too was not always easy. I started setting a traffic cone out where I wanted the corners and that always helped a bunch. With the Gemini there just isn't an issue. I would rather back in than have a pull through spot. Since the bed slides out the back it gets it away from traffic noise a bit.

Promote your "Best-Half" to Landing Signal Officer, and see if it helps!

I took the Walkie Talkie idea and it is the way to go. We have never had it so easy.

For all those that contributed to this question, THANK You. (Over)

My back-up camera has a microphone. When I select reverse, the back-up camera comes on and the Axxera radio's sound mutes so I can hear my spotters voice directions. Sometimes if the the spotter is a great distance from the rear of the coach I have to turn the volume up.

Cobras and hand signals. She can also talk to me through the rear camera but it's only one way.
