Seems the normal comfortable level is 24' average for a couple with a lap dog and somewhere around27-30'+ for those who will travel occasionally with others and a larger dog and 35ish for those who just want all the room you can get. I only went with the 35 because diesel was a deal breaker. All models are available in these lengths. The big choice is A, C or Super C. They all three have pros and cons.

Ah well if you don't get along, get two, and a divorce.

If you get a divorce: you won't be able to afford anything!

Perhaps the only thing you can afford is the RV you're now living out of.

We went from a 38.5 foot, diesel pusher to the 28.5 Windsport. The maneuverability is much better. The only criticism I have about the drivability are the reflections in the side windows that severely interfere with backing at night.

went from 38' dp to vegas 24.1 was a big mental adjustment for the first week. For what we do, glamis, river and kids sports, it fits us perfect and I absolutely love to drive it. easy to fit in all the spaces I wouldn't even think about before. it either looks good or weird because every where I go I can see everyone turn and look. I think it looks good

Good point: I'm gonna have to make a preemptive strike at the RV store!

We went from an Axis 25.2 to a Hurricane 34J. Every time I sat down to drive the Axis, i would comment, "I love driving this thing". I love the Hurricane, but the driving is not as much fun. When we traded in our Axis we drove to Elkhart in 8 inches of fresh snow. It drove great in the snow. The trip home with the Hurricane, was more white knuckled.

I love driving our Axis but would like a little more room once DW retires next year. We downsized from a 38 ft DP and had a B+ in the late 80's. If we do change to a larger unit, it would be difficult to go from E450 to F53. I am currently just looking at under 30 ft Class A gas with larger holding tanks.

yeah, same here. Everytime I driver my Axis people look at it when pass them on the road or at a stop lights when they pull up next to me.

I get great comments in parking lots /Gas stations from Non RVers..... Like "what is that? .....Its so cute" or "dude that thing looks awesome, What is it?". Lots of smiles.

I added Ford Triton V10 badges to the sides (under front side markers so it looks factory) so when I pull up to a pickup truck (at a stop light) the guys will take a double take.... I think the 2nd time they find the badge and say to themselves "that thing as a Ford v10 engine?".

I thought I had a better picture but these will do.

Question

I am somewhat a newbie on here and want to know what is commonly referred to as the DW. I can guess the W is wife maybe and the D could be a thing that holds back water or maybe a dee. I should know before I use the term and spare getting a black eye. Maybe it means something else altogether.

I was told it meant "darling wife" which fits in my case, but I usually use "Mrs S" and everyone seems to know what that means.

Maybe this fits here:

Arguing with the wife is a lot like trying to read the Terms of Use on the internet. In the end you just give up and go “I Agree”.

Bigger Unit

By the way I still chuckle when a new post on this thread pops up. Bigger Unit. DW asked why I chuckle and so her told some guy was getting a bigger unit. She wanted to see!!! Now we both chuckle.
