Bike Garage The Easy Way
Tiffin created a bike garage motorhome the easy way by modifying an existing floorplan, just like we’ve discussed here for the Axis/Vegas 24.1 and similar Thor floorplans for years.
It seems so easy to modify that it’s difficult to imagine why they haven’t at least offered it as an option. Probably too late now for Axis/Vegas with declining sales.
Tiffin did a great job keeping the bike garage floor low so that the bedroom above the garage still has decent headroom for most people to move comfortably.
The following video shows not only garage but very nice interior.

Too bad it's an oil-burner...

There’s a lot I like about that unit, particularly the size. The narrower 90-inch width and lower 6’-8” roof profile are great.
I’m nor crazy about it being diesel, Mercedes, or having a slide I don’t need. The lady on video said a dinette was an option, but I don’t see enough room for one. I’d want some forward facing seats. Very nice though.

You’re correct. The smallest 20XG is on Ford Transit with V6 gas engine.
The two larger ones, 22XG and 27XG , are on Ford E-350 with V10 (at present).
The Cross Trek is lighter than most motorhomes their size, so a unit similar to Tiffin but without slide may fit on Ford SRW E-350 chassis. I’d like to see Coachmen or someone else give it a shot.

My Wayfarer's floor plan is VERY similar to the one you posted. The difference is that mine has a rear slide for the Queen-sized bed. The side slide for the couch and fridge is pretty minimal. The couch folds out to a very uncomfortable bed... The fridge is small; but has enough space for two folks to carry about five days of food.
The coach is easy to drive, gets over 15 mpg, and is really well-built.

Seems to me this check's all of Chance's boxes: Coachmen Cross Trek 27XG:
- E-350/V-10
- No slides
- Dinette
- Bike garage
Ah at 29ft 6in its too long isn't it... Interesting that they still can call an almost 30' RV a "Class B" seems a stretch.
See look you have all of us looking for one for you ! LOL

Yeah, 99% of time it’s just my wife and me, and that unit is way too large. I know because it’s essentially the same floorplan Thor builds for Cruise America, the Chateau 28A, which I’ve rented a few times for long trips with family members. It’d be a waste of space.
What do you think of Tiffin floorplans in first post which have a house about the same length, or slightly shorter, than the 24.1? A shorter Axis with that split bath would have made a nice Axis floorplan option.

Indeed that would have been a nice option. However that would be a non-starter for us because we prefer the shower to be part of the bath and not split like that. Everyone has their requirements.

A few manufacturers, including Tiffin, build that 2-slide floorplan on the Sprinter 11,030-pound chassis. That’s why I feel a similar no-slide floorplan like the Cross Treks can be built on 10,050-pound GVWR E-350. They would need to design for 12 MPG on gas to make it worth downsizing that much.
