Cable TV

We hooked up the campground cable TV to our Four Winds but we're not able to get any stations during the channel search. Others in the campground say you have to switch from TV to Cable inside your RV. We have no such switch.
Any thoughts? We are in the NC mountains and I did not expect great results but at least something. We get zero channels trying to use the antenna.

A couple of things. Be sure the antenna booster is off. Little light should be off.
If you have Seiki tv's they do not have QAM tuner therefore some campground cable connections won't work.

If you have a Seiki that's not more than a couple years old, it's not a switch, it's a setting on your TV menu.

First, ensure the antenna booster is off as the previous post said. In my Challenger, it's in a cabinet above the microwave with the DVD player and a switcher. It's a black box on the wall with a green light on. Find the small round button near the top of the box, push and green light should go out.

Next, on each TV ensure Source is TV.

Then go into menu, scroll over to Channels, go down and select Cable (it's probably defaulted to Air). Then select scan channels. It displays progress, should show # of channels scanned (mine went up to 135) and # of channels found. That will depend on what your campground provides, the one we're at now has 24.

Hope this helps.

Mike

Thank you both for your suggestions. The only thing I have in the cabinet with the DVD player is the power source. No light, no button. We have raised the TV and there is nothing behind it except, again, an outlet.
Thanks! This drama will continue.

If you don't have the booster, you might just try the other steps with the TV. But I'm thinking you have a signal booster and the question is, where did they hide it?

The power button is mounted on the plate that you cable comes through. It is very small and easy to over look
