Changing out tv?

We have the Seiki TVs in our 2017 Synergy. They are such a pain every time we go to a new place they have to locate channels. If we bought a Vizio or something else from the store and replaced would we still have to go through setup every time? We are very new to this.
Thanks

Yes: Every time you move to a new city you have to rescan the channels (sometimes even park to park within the same city as they may have different cable/sat providers).

Get a cheapo DVD player for entertainment. Less commercials.

What you gain from replacing the Sucky TVs is you won't have to wonder if the next park that offers cable will work with your TVs. There has been extensive discussion of that topic on this forum. A new TV will work no better with the antenna. The Sucky TVs lack a qam tuner, something that almost all new TVs have. (A few cheapos at BestBuy don't.)

We replaced just one TV in our Vegas, as cable isn't all that important to us. Sometimes we can get antenna channels, and sometimes not. Sometimes RV park cable works, sometimes not. RV park cable always works with the replacement TV. The one we took out works OK for an extra TV with our home cable.

We did the same as Mr. Sunshine. I found a Samsung 32" refurbished LED TV on Amazon, that had the same warranty as a new one, for $100., with free shipping. Works great and overcame the Seiki's limitations! Swap-out is pretty easy, if you're familiar with how to hook up today's modern TV's. As previously stated, you'll have to scan for channels, whether over the air or on cable but that's the way it is with all modern digital TV's today, when you change locations. I also wired in a DVD player that will play DVD's on all 3 of our TV's or any combination of them.

We have an Emerson and a Proscan, which is a low end TV from Best buy. The Emerson picks up many more channels than the Proscan using the antenna. We use them so little it doesn't matter but does substantiate the quality differences between TV's I'm a LG or Samsung fan. Brand names pay off. If you save too many dollars you'll always be talking to the TV.

I think that this is how we're going to handle this issue also...
I've already got "RV", and "The Long, Long Trailer".
What other camping movies should we be looking for?

Nope, don't get a cheapo DVD player--then you also have to bring along a DVD library which consumes valuable storage space in the RV.

Get a small media player (Amazon) and store your movies on a flash drive or small external hard drive. You'll be able to fit a lot more movies in a very small space.

You could go a little extra and get a small PC (Newegg) and use it for more than just movies.

I agree with both buying brand name TVs (we have Samsung and Vizio) as well as minimizing the number of DVDs you bring along and get a portable media player (or an Apple TV or Amazon TV) and an external hard drive. We have a couple 1TB and 2TB drives with a bunch of media files on them and it is much easier than storing DVDs. Streaming services are cheaper than satellite TV and we use them often.

We use the DVD storage under our main TV as a second dry pantry.

Also note that if you're bringing a child along and they have a Playstation and/or X-Box those units can also play movies off a flash drive (at least the latest incarnations of them can). Just be sure to test that feature at home when connected to the internet because they may want to download an application before being able to play.

Any tv does that. Think about it!
