Check Air Filter after storage!

I just added another item to my pre-season check list. Always check the air filter. It appears I had a mouse in the engine bay this winter. It even appears that it liked eating the air filter itself.

Wow, any other damage to the RV? Wiring Okay? If no other damage your lucky it was just the air filter.

I changed mine last year, only had about 5000 miles on it (and the entire RV) but it was surprisingly dirty.

It was the OEM filter so perhaps sitting at Thor outside for 6 mo + as a chassis waiting to be built, then sucks in saw dust and other dirt while being built, Drives to AR (on it own - lol) then it sits on a stone parking lot at Camping World for 5 mo before purchased by me as a "Starter kit" lol.

As far as I could see that was all the damage. All wires looked good under the hood and I couldn't see any plastic eaten. Nothing went past the air filter. It was clean on the other end of the filter.

We arrived at the race track this past Thursday night. Friday morning I found 2 baby birds on the ground behind the coach with their little mouths open, waiting on a worm. There was a nest on top of the hitch. I felt like Opie in the "Winkin', Blinkin' & Nod" episode of Andy Griffith. To no avail, I moved the nest to a paper bowl and tried to do what I could but...my bird brain wasn't enough and I wasn't about to chew up bugs and spit them in their mouths. My wife said if she had seen the nest before we left, we wouldn't have moved the MH until they were mature and flew the coup. It pays to crawl around everywhere keeping an eye on the nesting possibilities...especially in the Spring.

Poor little birdies.... I vote you chew up some worms and feed the little critters.

They taste just like chicken.

I'll live with the "Ghost of Races Past" haunting me for the rest of my life...I did bury them though, and passed on a few good words.
