Cooling Refrigerator before traveling

We have our RV in storage. We are traveling Friday evening. Can I turn the LP gas on to cool the fridge before we leave Friday? We usually bring it home to the driveway and plug into the 110 to cool before we leave. Unfortunately we have a remodel going on and so not have room in our Driveway. Will the LP work or will it drain the RV battery?

You can, it will not drain the battery. It uses very little LP.

Simple tip We have used for years. We place in the refrig three half gallon bottles frozen the night before one in the freezer and two in the main body. When we leave the unit is all ready cooled down and we are ready to go

The fridge using gas does indeed use 12V but very little. By itself it will not drain the 12V battery over 24 hours or so.

I frequently stop at the storage lot and start the refer the day before a trip.
