Winter camping out here can have some winds and the awning isn't out a lot so the porch light is great.

We too have a porch light on our 25.2.
Wind would be an issues with the strips

My two-year-old Axis has both but you have to have the awning out for the led light on it. But with the new design of awning led you don't so - no porch light is needed. Out west here we have winds and the awning is in more times then out.

Those pretty much it for differences? (Images are of 2018s).

I was also told that the The Thor AXIS is made for sale by Campersworld. Thor also makes the class C freedom Elite just for Campersworld and it is the is the same the Thor Chateau.

The Freedom Elite is more like the Four Winds than the Chateau. The latter is a bit more upscale in its appointments (cabinetry and solid surface countertops for example) though the floor plans are the same. The Freedom Elites are pretty basic and you can’t order any upgrades. That said, they also are a great bargain. We bought our 2017 26HE for considerably less than the price of a nice pickup truck and it has been terrific.

My dealer told me it is just a branding strategy, like Chevrolet and Gmc.

Nope, Axis is available at dealers other than CW--we purchased our Axis at a General RV.

Freedom Elite is made by Thor exclusively for CW. As was said, Axis is not exclusive to CW. Thor makes the twin brands to allow nearby dealers to offer essentially the same vehicle under different brand names.
Just wondering, dbest1va, was it a CW salesperson who told you that Axis was exclusive to them?
This is why we don't trust RV salespeople! With just a little homework, you know more than most do about any particular RV. Same with used autos.

Yes, sales people that continue to spout crap continue to give themselves a bad name. Bought our Axis through Giant RV.
