Dish or Direct

I had a Dish portable antenna on my last coach and could have Dish network activate it for a month at a time when we were using the coach. So you pay as you need it. I switched to Direct TV with a Roof mounted antenna on my new Palazzo because I have Direct TV at my Home and can bring the receiver from home. Works great except for the locale channels and I am already paying for the service anyway. The only issue is obstructions. With the portable you can move it around to miss trees and other obstructions. With the roof mount, you are at the mercy of the location of the campsite.

and some will have the additional portable antenna when that issue arrives - agreed that it's not the 'same' as it's a single LNB output to a single receiver*/TV, but it's certainly a nice 'overnight' option when needed...

a secondary output is available, but it requires a little more understanding of it's limits, but it's usefullness to drive a second receiver is nice, when needed.
