Engine

We are newbies! We took our Vegas out this past week for our maiden voyage. At times there seems to be a louder noise coming g from the engine. Is this the fan cooling down the engine? Should we be worried?

The fan clutch is attached to the fan in front of the engine. it operates when temperature dictates, when it is hot the fan clutch will tighten and the fan will speed up to match the serpentine belt speed. when cold, the clutch will relax and the fan will slow down. when the engine is cold and the truck is OFF. That’s probably what you are hearing.
