Fireplace

We have an electric fireplace in our Miramar 34.2 that is not giving off heat, everything thing else works, the temperature numbers, the high and low settings etc. It seems like the blower is not working, any ideas? We are out camping in upstate New York at the moment and the additional heat would be appreciated, thank you.

Did you flip the switch on the top of the fireplace to heat position?

Yes, the coil gets toaster hot for about 10 seconds then goes off, I don't feel the blower running

Well I started to take it apart just to see what it could be, then I took my hand and banged it, guess what it's working. Probably a loose wire, I will check it when I get home.

That technique is called "impact engineering."
