Also, my Hurricane specs show as 99" wide. Trailer is width of 101.5. As I drive if mirrors are correct I can see tires. As stated before trailer is designed for 2 full dress HDs and weight about the same.
I have towed single axle trailers for 45 years on lots of long mile trips and I do not have an issue w it. Keep it in good shape, grease bearings regular, inspect it, and always good tires and I've never had an issue in that time (knock on wood and head!!). I will also add to my Tire Minder. Thx Dennis.

You are fine with that trailer as long as you have proper tongue weight, but you know that already. The Bug looks high on the trailer only because it's short, but it's at the same height as any other flat bed trailer that tows cars. Look at the U-Haul flat-beds; they are so short the back of the car hangs off the back of the trailer.
Nothing wrong with a properly loaded single axle trailer.
