Forest River violations top $250,000

I pulled this off another forum.
They are mainly pointing at Forest River, but Keystone is mentioned also.
I would be willing to bet, if they sent OSHA into every RV facility (without being paid off in advance) they probably could lock the doors on every plant out there. If they did, it might put an end to all the crap they're building.

Well there is your quality problem: How can anyone assemble an RV when they only have 1 finger left?

Oh and make sure you read the comments to that article too!

I don't think anybody is going to rejoice over it. But it should wake some of us up or at least give some of the new buyers something to think about before laying out their hard earned cash.

It just shows that the age old adage of -- You have to expect to have a few problems with a new camper. That's just the way it is. Which we all know is just a bunch of malarkey.

Mucho profits, 250k fine. Like a tip. Now continous fines until they make them like they brag about how good they make them.

Used to know a guy working in a meat packing plant that wore a chain mail glove on his left hand. He was pretty smart.

He was very quick and sure with that knife. Don't know why he liked riding bikes though. Then again ...

I'll bet that their family re-unions were memorable!
(At least for the survivors! )

Costume parties... "who you gonna dress up like joe?" Arrrgh Blackbird or a samari. Wonder if his family did stunts for the Gangs of New York movie? "That was a ..... cut".

Highly recommended place to put that hawg leg. Long time ago I carried, hit a slick spot and high sided the bike (something that I hadn't done in 25 years). Anyway I landed on that side and cracked five ribs. Life was not good for about three weeks.

The results of all the OSHA inspections are public information. Rather than speculating, you could just look up the Thor Industries records. 28 violations in 8 years at all Thor Industries plants. Three violation recorded in the past 7 years at the MC plants. Largest fine was in 2010 and was at the aviation unit.

I guess that for as big as their operations are: those numbers don't sound all that bad...

Well, I wish they did check out Thor industries!!! Were are constantly having problems with our Ace. It's a shame, I feel it's the worst decision we ever made and we're retired and wanted to enjoy traveling. The walk thru was a joke and they want to charge you again to do another walk thru. When I buy a car ii don't expect myself to have to be a mechanic or to have problems, unless I got a lemon. I'm wondering if there is a lemon law for RV's. Very very unhappy. It makes me both angry and sad!!!
