Yeah, think I mentioned about having a report card type format used at the showout (start the RV, auto lift, generator, hook up everything, use slideout ... etc like three times each so you remember it). If this, along with EVERYTHING WORKS BEFORE we leave and a DVD of everything just in case you forget something would help. Might be tough to put all this together though and a lot of things I don't know about RVs yet. I do know about the taking delivery of new car, motorcycle point of views though. It could work.

1, violations means nothing, violations for what?
2 osha should be shut down.
3 it is a ponzi scheme, slow me the man, I'll show you the crime. Beyond that. Speaking as someone who is in the hvac repair field ( commercial, dealing with small up to large chillers, that most will never see. ) osha policies (aka regulations) are more of a safety hazard then the hazard they are trying to stop or mitigate. ( try wearing full arc flash in 120 deg weather...)

citing junk like indeed, really was not impressed with the article

A lot of you are confusing product quality with employee safety. Osha inspections have nothing to do with what goes out the door.

You're right: they don't...
But employee carelessness and lack of concern can cause all sorts of issues at work.

Sounds more like you had a crappy dealer.
For our walk through they brought the coach to the show room floor. Then had a guy that specializes in orientation, and we went through every compartment, system etc. From stem to stern.

There were a couple things wrong but were minor.
The one thing that was weird was that they couldn't fix them before delivery, or it was difficult for them to get paid. We just scheduled in back in right away and everything was taken care of.

I'm not saying Thor is perfect, far from it, but a good dealer makes a huge difference.

We also had a wonderful indoor inspection at CW with a fellow who’s been doing it for years. Alas, as helpful as a thorough PDI is its no guarantee that everything is right with your coach. Many times issues show up after some miles and bumps. It is just a fact of life that RVs require pretty much constant care and repair.
