While using the water pump I get a foul odor when running water from the bathroom sink. Smells a lot like black tank. I have a 2017 Vegas. Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks in advance. Have a great Memorial Day. [emoji631][emoji631]

Does it happen at all sinks? Hot and cold water? City water or just onboard water with the pump? From your post I’m assuming it’s all sinks and only with onboard water....Have you sanitized and flushed your fresh water system and your water heater? You also should check the air admittance valve under the sink but it’s not likely to be the problem if the smell is present only when using the water pump.

Thanks Pete, just the bathroom sink with onboard water using water pump. I was in the process of sanitizing the system and as I was flushing it and letting water run at the br sink I was getting the odor. How does one flush the water heater?

Jerry B. It just cost me over $300. to cure this problem and it is sure an easy AT home fix. First drain the fresh water tank, put about 1.5 cups of bleach par 4 gal of water and put it into the fresh water tank and fill the tank completely full. Leave it one day. drain by using the on board water pump opening ALL faucets until the fresh tank is empty. Refill tank with fresh water and repeat process with fresh water at least 3 more times until you have no more chlorine smell. This will kill the bacteria build up in the fresh water tank. then from then on empty the tank after each use. This can be done at a dump station if there are no other persons needing the dump site. Hope this helps you
Well if it’s ONLY the bathroom sink it’s not foul water and sanitizing isn’t the answer. The air admittance valve is an easy and cheap place to check although the symptoms don’t seem right to me. It would act the same on city water as it does on the pump. There is nothing I know of that would only smell on the pump at the one sink. How about when you run the shower or flush the toilet? Both hot and cold? But start with the AAV it’s only about $10 to replace and free to remove and test.
