Fresh water tank filling up

On two occasions while I was hooked up to city water, water also went into the fresh water holding tank. The switch was in the proper place. The holding tank filled up and water was coming out of the over flow hose.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

This has been a common problem: Thor doesn't clean out the construction chips/shavings/etc. from the fresh water tank and they get caught up in the water pump making the valves not close properly.

The solution has been: Open up the strainer and clean it out then run the pump for a minute or so to clear the debris.

I would suggest we have a "Common Thor Problems" area of this board, but it would likely overrun the rest of the board.

Fixed mine permanently. Installed a shut off valve between the tank and pump. Shut the valve when hooked to city water, open it to run off the tank. [emoji88]

Your idea has serious merit ; but I worry about "too many things installed in too many places"...
The more complicated it gets: the easier it is for something to go wrong...

Another manual shut-off valve, isn't that complicated, you just have to remember to open it when you are not connected to city water.

So here is what works for me I’ve had this happen several times through the last 3 or 4 years if you make sure your pump is off and there’s no pressure on the system before you turn on the city water usually works fine if for some reason you forget to do that which I do quite often you want to make sure the city water is off turn the pump on for a few seconds open up a Fossett let it run a few seconds shut it off shut the pump off and then open the Fossett for a few seconds to get rid of the pressure in the system and then turn your city water back on that usually fixes the problem
