We're in Bath, NY at the KOA for the weekend. The griddle did a great job on pork chops, and ears of corn...

I absolutely don't know how I have gone without a BlackStone griddle for 74 years. We have not travelled with it yet but I use it at home using my grill for a griddle stand. I do plan on getting one of those 11 lb. gas containers when I get to Bass Pro or CW.

Until then, how does one dispose of these little green bottles? Do they just go into recycle? In the past I would toss my hand torch bottles in the trash but times are changing.

Have you tried crushing them flat, and then running them through the recycling system?

My advice is spend the $49.00 or so and get the quick connect and hose to work off ur existing rv tank. U will never forget to bring or take ur propane again plus the flame stays consistent b/c u have eliminated the original regulator.

I need to modify our Palazzo to add a port so I don't have to carry an extra tank, especially after the last trip to a state Beach north of Ventura CA, where we had our tank stolen. Not really a big deal, more of an annoyance and $50...
I think I actually heard it being taken as I had a half waking dream of grabbing my pistol and shooting the tank as the perp fled... but figured the fantasy was better than the reality...

I only waited 63 years but I ask myself the same thing. Now I have the 22 inch in the RV and a 36 inch at home. Can't even remember what my kitchen looks like anymore.

After looking at my rig I see nowhere to neatly or safely tee off the LP line for a hose to the griddle. With the LP tank on the drivers side and all the appliances being on the passenger side I would think there would be an accessible fitting but not so. Unfortunately for me the 2018 Gemini has a LP outlet on the curb side rear corner, my 2017 does not. So back to the small portable LP tank. But that's ok, I have room for it and it beats the little green ones.

Somewhere I have seen a fitting to refill the little green tanks.
I took my griddle to Smokey mountains , had to switch to a second bottle before cooking was done.. so really glad my Hurricane has a fitting at the outdoor kitchen.
I’ve seen 15’ hoses if your unit has a quick connect.
I would think for a modest fee you could have a plumber or Hvac guy or propane co tie into a fitting and hard pipe a connection to other side. I’ve only had my griddle a few months and no telling how many green bottles I would have used if that was my only option

Just made me realize why DW doesn't complain when I want to spend money on an outdoor cooking device. Between, grill, griddle, pressure cooker and Lodge dutch oven she never cooks meat. Can't even remember the last time she did it.
