Grey Tank Question on AXIS/VEGAS 25.2

Dual duty here, getting the coach ready to go to the dealer to fix some issues, so going over the coach with a fine tooth comb, and getting the buggy ready for some road trips.

Was under the coach using gorilla tape to secure heat pad and tank wiring on the black tank, and could not for the life of me find the heat pad for the grey tank.

It looks like the grey tank is more of a vertical tank opposed to the black tank being more flat.

Should there be a heating pad for the grey, or just the black?

Got our one year warranty date coming up and trying to make sure everything is the way it should be...

My 24.1 Vegas had heat pads on both the grey and black tanks. The black tank pad was falling off when I took delivery, grey tank heater was well adhered.

Look around the sides of the grey tank for wires with broken or bared ends. I have heard of heat pads being lost to the road once the adhesive let go.

Rather than duct tape I removed my loose pad , cleaned the old adhesive off the tank and the pad and reattached with 3m spray adhesive.
If you use duct tape it may fail due to undercarriage heat.

Ours came off too but bounced back up and stuck to frame. Replaced via warranty. It does mount on bottom of tank.

Mike,

You would think where there is a separate switch for the Gray Tank Heater that there is a separate heating unit. At least I would.

On my 2015 Vegas 24.1 there is a separate switch for the gray and black tank heaters. The switches are on the monitor panel. Here is a pix of my control panel.

We have the same panel, but started looking today and haven't seen the pad for the grey tank. Black tank pad is right on the bottom of the tank, but haven't found the other one.

Found the grey tank pad, followed the dangling loose wires held by black duct tape with no adhesive.

After securing all the sensor wiring and power wires to the pad with gorilla tape, everything looks good....

I appreciate all the support you guys give me on this forum...

Getting a little "frantic" trying to make sure everything is in working order before the warranty expires...

Tank heaters are one thing that we haven't used in the past year
