How do I remove tv from inside motor home

I have a 2004 Thor Hurricane and we need to take out the dated television and replace. However, we cannot figure out how to take the thing out. Can anyone help? There are 2 compartments, one on each side of tv and there is a black, plastic covering that goes around the compartment. There are also screws that go all around the compartment but even when we take the screws out it is very hard to get our hand behind the plastic covering...........there has got to be an easier way.........Thank you so much, Wendy Whitehead

WELCOME!!

Would it be possible to post a few pics of the TV and the molding? Is this a flat screen or a boobtube.

It would be so much easier to see more about what you are seeing.

Please post pic's, I had a '99 Infinity..there were several locations that they used for the TV's, in the dash being the most common.

Big gaping hole when you took it out.

Had a strap attached to RV and back of TV as I recall - had to remove the trim around it to remove for sure.

Since the op has 'compartments' on either side - may not be mounted that way. We'll see what the pictures show.
