2 Travel Trailers, 1 Lance Truck Camper, GMC (family owned), 1978 converted school bus (racing rednecks), and the Super C. I don't think they'll beat the Super C. More power than the sun. We will sell it in 2-3 years and downsize...after covering the Wild, Wild West.

I guess 2
we went from tent to popup trailer to the class C

I think the pup is borderline personally. Technically I suppose it is an rv, but it really seems to me almost like a high end car camping tent.

My dad had one small TT when I was in my early teens, a Nomad..probably around 14ft or so. he only had it a year or two but that would have been my introduction. My only memories of it were my mom endlessly sweeping the floor and yelling at us for tracking it in... and dad fighting with either the water heater or furnace that never seemed to be working right....oh, and our family of 4 tripping over each other inside the thing.

What is an RV?
I figure that if you're not working in it, and you're smiling while you think about the next time that you'll be using it: it counts!

Notice the newer/smaller trend

1999 30' Gulfstream Class C
2017 Thor Vegas 25.2

I do notice that the tendency is to downsize over time.

We've owned 4 since 1996...

1975 Winnebago Indian D-23 (Drove it until the wheels fell off in 2005)
1995 Fleetwood Bounder M-31K (Sold 2010)
2002 Fleetwood Southwind 36T (Sold 2016)
2017 Thor Challenger 37LX (Our current unit purchased January 2017)

My kids grew up in those RVs, with the youngest sleeping in a Pack 'n Play wedged between the front seats of the Winnie. lol We are 57 so I'm sure we are not done yet. When DH retires in a few years we will probably move up to a DP.

First was a truck camper in need of some love, after that I never bought another used rv but since then it was a Lance truck camper, Shasta Class C, Monacrapo Knight Class A DP, Fleetwood 40' 5th wheel, Heartland 32' Bighorn 5th wheel, Concord Class C, and now hopefully my final Thor Ace 29.3

How many RV' that I owned

I had a 1991 Viking Tent trailer for many years. I bought a 2016 Winnebago ERA Class B and in 2018 I traded it in for a Thor Siesta 24SS Class C. So I have owned 3 so far.

This is the first one. I did grow up with my parents 21' Holiday Rambler, though. This one might also be the last. Got yet another problem. Rotting wood in the slide floor. *deep heavy sigh*

That's Thor for you! My Vegas 25.2 does not show signs of leakage/rot anywhere but it's a 2017 that only has >3,000 miles and stored in my driveway.

We started out in early 70's with a home made travel trailer, about 20' in length.
Then, over next decade or two, 3 or 4 commercially built travel trailers; none were 5th wheels.
Then in 2006, a Winnebago 29' Aspect, class C. Wish we still had that one.
Then a PleasureWay, class B+. Built on Ford E350 chassis that wandered all over the road. Wife wouldn't drive it. Would never buy ANYTHING on an E350 chassis again.
A new 2014 24' travel trailer, not bad but our F150 didn't handle it well.
Now, a 2017 Aspect 25.5. Great floorplan but lousy construction and cheap components. Poor dealer support, altho we found a good one in La Mesa RV in Sanford, FL. Will never again buy anything else made by Thor.
Of all, our Winnebago Aspect was by far the best.

We started in early 80 with a used travel trailer we bought off the lemon lot at Myrtle Beach AFB. Traded it in on a Ford pickup to pull rental popups from MWR. At the time it made more sense to us, no maintenance, storage or insurance worries. In the mid 90s we bought a 87 Class C on a Toyota Hilux chassis. Used it until we bought our first new Class C, a 1998 Fleetwood Tioga.
That one burned to the ground due to a faulty refrigerator. Used the insurance money to buy a larger Fleetwood Tioga in 2001. Traded that one in on our current Hurricane. So we have owned 5 but rented countless others.
