I had a brain fart,,,

this past outing. We are new owners and have encountered issues on several trips starting in April (maiden voyage, mud flap issue, fixed when home) May, leveling system issue, fixed onsite. Slide issue, not fixed. (didn’t want to deal with it at the time) May issues fixed after being home. Rehomed leveling system. June/July (no issues), August, slide issue, fixed. (had to manually reset slide controller + unplug both motor controller connections) which brings us to brain fart moment,,,,
Arrive onsite, did GOAL, all good.Back in,,,good. Ready to set up,,,DW to take fur baby for walk,,,,level the rig , slide out . No power, slide not going out. Check fuse for slide,,,good. Check slide controller for errors, none. Did manual override on slide controller,,,nothing. DW comes back 30 min later after getting ‘steps’ in and I explain situation. At this point I’m frustrated and sweating. We try a couple of more resets,,,no good. She pulled out the manual for system and said that the ignition needs to be off. Well I had ignition on for required leveling system. Turned ignition off, press slide extend, boom! Slide out!
Mission now is to create a list for site it / site out. Some roadies refer to this as load in/load out

I have a list in order of things I need to do for departure and arrival. It's easy to look at to make sure you've done everything.

That way you can fart all you want and never have to put up with the smell. I imagine trying to turn over with that on your face makes sleeping a little tough though.

Been there done that. I even called Thor CS and they recommended to call mobile RV Service. I had the engine running for a quick warm up for defrosters before leaving camping site. When I realized the problem I really didn't want to tell DW. SOOO a few days later after pulling into campground I was about to extend the slide and DW say "Why don't you turn on the engine, maybe it will help." I knew she discovered my secret as always.

Trying to hide it from her was your first mistake. Woman's intuition...
