See attached pic I removed a small piece of white graphic on the top to make it look better.

I thought I read in a thread that the lock on the 2018 ACE was different, a vertical orientation vs. the horizontal pictured. Did I dream that?

I forgot to look when I checked out the ACE last week.

I'm wondering if the same Bauer lock that others have used works on the 2018 ACE. Since the thought of getting locked out is not good, I'm seriously thinking about swapping it right away and avoid a broken lock.

Rvlock

This summer I bought the RV lock. Fortunately my nephew-in-law works with metal and has the needed tools. He was able to make the slight alterations necessary to the screen door so that it all fits and works perfectly.

We put the RV lock A/C class model on our Axis. Had to modify the screen door to allow the door to close and not interfere with the door latch.

Since this pic, I touched up the screen with black. You don't even notice it.

I will be adding a cabinet drawer pull to make it a little easier to close. But it's doable now. We love the results and really like the key fob. Plus, this lock will not let you close the door with the handle lock on.

Thought I'd share a final pic of screen with JB weld filler and paint.

I miss the numeric pad we had on our last coach. If there is a way to install one on our Gemini I would be interested. Anyone done that on the smaller MH's?

I finally got around to installing the RV Lock Class C/A Door Handle on our 2017 Thor Challenger 37TB. I imagine this should work with other similar Thor Challenger and Miramar models. I posted my learnings and steps in another thread:

I purchased, from the web, the RV Lock Class A/C Keyless Entry Door Handle on our 2018 Thor Axis 25.2. Unfortunately, the Axis came with a vertical hand entry (opening is 7 1/2" x 5 1/2") with two different keys. Of course, The RV Lock system would not fit the opening (almost 5" x 5"). I have spent hours researching a replacement door entry system with no luck. Not happy with the stock setup at all. Anybody have any ideas on a replacement entry system for the Axis? Thanks.

You may have the same lock setup we do on ours. I asked the dealer to research a keyless lock change-out, they were unable to find anything that would fit. Very disappointing, dislike having to always carry keys.

I know the Bauer Products BP-12RV is a drop in replacement for the lockset in the Vegas/Axis units (I just did that replacement). They do make a keyless version (which I believe someone on the forums has used in their Axis/Vegas)--you could give them a call to verify that it fits.

Here is a picture of the Axis door handle. Tall and skinny 7 x 5 inch cutout in door.

I have a 2018 Miramar 35.2, the RVLock does not fit the door. The company marketing says fits most class A's, but does not tell you which ones. Beware before you buy, as returns are on you, call before you purchase. I sure wish they made one for my rig.☹️

That is a different lock than what our Axis came with, perhaps Thor started installing something different than the TriMark lock due to the breaking problem.

Keyless entry

Purchase rv lock keyless when standard broke locking me out while paying a State park entry. Laddered in window of a running Ace. Installed the new rv lock and love the lock. Just conflicts with screen door hole and closure. Works but not as freely as original.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why replace the stock door lock with something that requires modification of existing equipment amd doesn't work as well?

Bought RVLock and had to send it back as our unit is full body paint and it left a white ring all around it. Im not spending 100's of dollars to paint the door to make a lock work.

I feel your pain. This is the same lock I have on my Vegas 27.7. I have performed months of research and I can't seem to find a keyless lock to replace this lock. It is annoying to see all my other friends be able to simply punch in a code or use a remote to get in their coach and I have to schlep around with two keys.

Windsport

Hello,

Am I correct, based on the previous replies and my own research there isn't a remote or pin # option for a Thor Windsport door lock?
