Just found out from Thor that warranty begins on purchase date regardless of when you

Well doesn’t that stink for those of us that can’t take procession of coach because it is the Ford truck center for a month be repaired! And of course stuff is breaking that should be repaired under warranty but won’t because warranty has expired! That’s just BS plain and simple!

Thats not the worst.... Had side windows fall off (outer pane glass - Hehr manufacturer. Thor said contact them (Hehr) - they have been bought out by LCI. They say 1 year from "install" date.

Cost me $500 out of pocket.

Basically the factory warranty is worthless unless it breaks while driving it home on the first day. It’s kind of crummy deal.

What if you show Thor the paperwork from the Shop?
If it shows how long your rig was out of service: it might open up some negotiations for you...

Mine was out of service for over Six Months...

I think that’s the key though is to hope to get someone to work with you. Just don’t count on it so you aren’t disappointed. We had a leak that camping World doesn’t seem to know how to repair and this last time Thor denied the warranty claim and sent back to CW no you guys pay for this, we have paid 3 other times to fix this it’s on you at this point. Thor gave me all the info so we didn’t get stuck with the bill. I think they can be reasonable just don’t get all heated right away. If you start off pissed there is no reason from them to work with you

Keep detailed times, dates, emails, phone calls with your dealer &/or manufacturer so when the time comes they say your warranty has expired you'll have proof it was sitting on your dealers lot for the past 6 months as per their recommendation to take every little thing back to the dealer for repair. In that case the warranty should be extended by that same amount of time.
