Axxera AV614BH Microphone Location

People tell me the can bearly hear me while I am use the Axxera Bluetooth.
Any idea where the microphone my be located in my 2015 Freedom Elite 28H? Some one told me it was built into the Axxera console which would not make sense for good voice pick up. Thanks in advance for the help.

We have a 28Z and the microphone is under the dash just about where the dash and doghouse meet. No problem with volume on ours.

The microphone for my Axxerra is positioned where I want. It is simply clipped onto whatever surface with a U shaped clip and can be moved to a position which is best for clarity. The microphone plugs into the back of the radio and if I am not mistaken the cable is about 3 feet long, possibly longer. When I bought my coach it wasn't even connected and was in the radio accessory bag. You may want to check yours out and move it to another location if folks can't here you talking.

If you look at the attached pic you will see where I positioned mine right above the radio which places it midway between the driver and passenger.

On my Challenger the Microphone was not installed. I had the dealer install and mount it when we took it in to get things fixed about a month after we purchased it.

I know this is an old thread, but....

Does anyone else with this setup (axxera av614bh) have low volume on the microphone?

Is there a solution?

2016 VEGA 25.2 here with microphone to left of driver's cluster (speedometer, etc)

Mike...that Mic has a fairly long cord as I remember...you may be able to
re-position it to where it picks up better.
It has been sometime since I made any adjustments...but, you might go into
settings and search around for a volume adjustment to the mic ...
then again...when on bluetooth, your radio volume knob may do the trick !

Yes, the mike has a pretty long cable (although when the unit is new the cable is usually coiled up and zip tied behind and under the console) and will reach across the dash easily. I repositioned mine on the dash to the very left of the instrument bulge top. I figured that was as far away from the doghouse noise but not close enough to pick up wind noise. It is better but still nothing like a car microphone.

My cable is 5-6 ft. I tried several places but it still didn't work well. Now I keep it on the dash and if I get a call I pick it up and hang it around my shoulder. Works great.
