Low point water drains.

I talked with Thor on where the low point drain plug was for fresh water tank for 2018 vegas 27.7. Also asked what the 3 water line faucets were for inside the wastesystem compartment.
Were they low point drain faucets?

They said there are only 2 based on schematics. ( 1 each hot & cold). Well I have 2 cold & 1 hot.

They said no idea and they would ho look at a unit and get back to me.

Anyone else have 3 and know what they go to?Click image for larger version

Most of us have three, even those who have never discovered the third. One hot, one cold, and one to drain the city water connection line.

all coaches have at least 3 ‘drain’ levers/handles...

1- freshwater tank drain
2- hot/cold water line drains(low points)

you can also drain the water heater, and the gray and black tanks : )

Question. To winterize do i do anymore than empty black and gray like when done camping and dumping?

Will the fresh water tank always have a drain plug somewhere on the bottom of it?

Is there some draining needed when it is a tankless HW heater?

No plug on the FW tank. Normally there is a Tee on the line to the water pump that drains the tank.

To see the low point drains you should remove the bottom drawer on the sink side. You will see two valves and probably an unsealed hole.

As for the fresh water drain it is in the outside rear storage compartment. Remove the little panel with the finger hole on the left side. There will probably be a couple screws to remove. You will see the drain valve and the water pump. Also there is the upright tubing with a cap. That is for pumping antifreeze for winterizing if you are going that route.

ID:	13495this is a picture in the compartment. The valve had to be turned to allow 12v pump to suction any-freeze. So on mine that can’t be low point fresh water drain valve. Ugh

In the tall cargo compartment right in front of the sewer area is access panel and you are then above the sewer compartment. Take panel off and your looking at this area in picture.
It is in the body of motorhome, just under the back slide.

So, we are in Colorado and it is currently snowing. We spent the day trying to empty the pump tank water, after running all of the faucets, opening the two openings at the water pump, and then emptying the grey water. We bought this RV 4 days ago and never got an inservice about it. Hopefully I did what I needed to in order to not have the pipes freeze tonight. Thoughts, please! Thanks. Mary
