Max water pressure to RV?

I bought and am using a preset water pressure regulator. Was wondering what type everyone else is using. I’m thinking I want to get one that is of better quality. We’re in a KOA here in Charleston, SC and the water pressure seems a little low. Not sure if it’s that, or something to do with my regulator. I’m thinking if I get one I can set to a specific setting, (not sure what that should be)(so I guess that’s one of my questions) then it would open or close depending on the in coming pressure.

I had been using the straight preset reg. and noticed that the flow was not all that great. Wife was complaining about the shower not having enough flow, so bought one of the adj. with gage. Flow is much better and you can tell what the pressure is in the campground. They are not cheap though, but are worth it for a happy wife.

We're using a Valterra 50-55 psi regulator. The amount of water that we're getting out of the faucets and the shower seems to be just fine.

We have one like this. I like to be able to adjust the pressure. We have a tankless water heater and was having issues with the temperature fluctuating set at 48 psi. Based on experiences here on the forum, I have set it to 53 and it seems to be much steadier. I will know for sure in the morning when we take showers.

I’m assuming that when the park’s water pressure is below the regulator’s set point, they are open all the way, right?

We used the inexpensive inline "regulator" for several years and seldom had really good water pressure. Finally purchased a good brass adjustable one with a gauge. We keep it set at 60psi. Those inline ones are really just restrictors and not actual regulators.

After a very expensive lesson on being hooked up to shore water,(Yes I had an in-line regulator) Now just hook up the water hose long enough to fill the fresh tank , then unhook and store the hose..run everything in the coach off the 12v pump & fresh tank..
