Mercedes Benz Sprinter with the Equalizer Leveling

I have a 2018 Thor Siesta 24SS and had The Equalizer Leveling System added to it. I have been following the new Snap Pads and have been thinking about installing them. I contacted the Snap Pad customer service and was advised to contact The Equalizer Leveling System Company direct. My current pad size is 7" in the octagon shape. They are only sold through the Equalizer Company as model 70161 EQ Compact being sold for $149.95 (including shipping). For those that have that system and considering the snap pads, now is your chance.

I just bought a et of them from Equalizer, and now just need some decent weather for the installation process...

Hi Bob

I am hoping to buy a set for my Equalizer system by next month. I did clean the metal landing pads and I coated them with black flex seal to help eliminate possible rust issues later. I saw that being done on a YouTube before installing the snap pads.

A stray thought just popped into my thick head...
The stuff you put on the feet of your leveling jacks: do you think it's been put on thin enough to not affect the installation of the pads?

I put a thin coat on after checking it out on a piece of scrap to be sure of the thickness.

Since the feet on our systems are shaped so "funky": how tough do you think it'll be to get things lined-up perfectly>?

Tjey should just "snap" into place. I don't think it will be an issue since they are made to fit those specific feet on the Equalizer. I would make sure you have something hard/flat under the snap pads like a piece of wood or on an asphalt/concrete surface. Also try using dish soap on the edges of the snap pads as lube. I saw that done on YouTube.

It'll be up in the driveway, and I plan on using enough dish soap to really aggravate the Missus.

UPDATE: They installed pretty slick!
The three of us did the job:>
Me
Myself
and I!

I lowered the jacks to where I could just slide the pads under them (A pure hit & miss operation), and then I lubed them up, and slid them into position using my GPS powered eyeballs!
Only one of them needed a second attempt!

While it took a bit longer to do it on my own: it completely eliminated the chance of turning one of my hands into "human peanut butter & jelly"!
