Miramar Jensen Radio 212T

here we go again, I have had our 2014 Miramar 34.2 for less then 2 years and the radio has burned out again , now i am on my 3rd if I can get one. Same old thing it will power on and all the lights work but all you get is noise and unable to turn it off or get any functions to work. Been thru everything to fix as before. Nothing works, resets power okk disconnect wait a day. I just cant beleive that this is the 3rd on and its not even 2 years!

Sorry to vent but i guess its time again to call Thor and complain about Jensen only this time I guess i am stuck with paying. Well see!

Havent they come up with a different radio that will work with the coach and camera system?

The Jensen 215--yeah you might be afraid because it is also a Jensen but its night and day better than the 212 and it will go right in with minimal fuss.

Thanks Jamie, That would be nice if I could get a different model. Was yours plug and play? i have the cameras set up. Still waiting to hear from Thor but I know I am not going to get much help. Its a weird thing my battery went dead on the coach as I didnt realize my battery tender was unplugged somehow. I replaced battery and the radio never returned other than Buzzing.

Mine was almost plug in play, now the 215 comes with a harness that makes it plug in play (a ton more information in the linked thread I provided).

From what I have seen - the 'failure' on the 210 is related to application of power... It seems to fail when flipping the use/store switch... which of course replacing the battery has the same effect...

I feel your pain,
I have a 2014 Thor Mtr Coach 27F. It is factory equipped with a Jenson JRV212T. Went blank screen. Unplugged shore power and pulled battery grounds off coach and under hood. Re-connected, radio and cameras worked great again for 10 minutes and pooped out again. Jenson and Junk both start with a J....Genman in Waco,TX

Thor responded today and basically told me they dont make the 212 anymore and I need to get a 215. No i am sorry or anything basically your on your own.

If you purchased an extended warranty you may want to check with them. On mine I also elected the "convenience" coverage so they cover all electronic equipment installed by the OEM or an authorized dealer as well as slides, leveling jacks etc... Paying the 50.00 or 100.00 deductible (depending on the service center) is a lot cheaper than over 600.00 for a new radio.
