Misery Loves Company

As mentioned several times in this forum, Thor is not the only manufacturer that has QC problems with their construction:

And yet, they won't sell it. It's an easy dismissal of distaste, as easy as spitting out a worm in an apple bite, but they'd have to come up with a new conversation by which to ruin a Christmas party. Their self entrenched circumstance is easy to tell.

As a proof telling I'm not exempt and have experience instead of prattle:
Our 2011 avalanche had both the 5v death nell and the ac shutdown incurable limp. It developed them over a months time. It was out of our lives at our first convenient opportunity.

Some people have problems which are self perpetuated and often I believe, self perpetrated.

Some people aren't happy unless they aren't happy.

Punchline:
Sell it.

...or, it may just be that a lot of folks can't afford to sell or trade a 5-year-old RV to get a new one. They don't want to go deeper in debt just to get out from under a money pit that isn't paid for yet.

Yup. Or trade it. Yes, it’ll cost some. But most coaches are NOT ongoing nightmares. If yours is trade it on another one just like it and you might be fine. Albeit with a few more coupons in the payment book. Or find a better shop and get it fixed.

The guy just made a statement. The RV industries QC sucks and everyone knows it, if they had a program we wouldn't be putting all the money we do into fixing issues than never should have left the factory.

Can't believe Ducksface very unsympathetic comment. I bought a 2016
Class A made by a major manufacturer, new five years ago and it was a
disaster from the beginning. After more trips to the dealer than I can count, and then six trips to Indiana to the manufacturer to correct the ongoing problems unsuccessfully, I began litigation. Settlement was a new 2020, same model and less than 1,000 miles, it is already beginning to have problems. Lost almost two years of use, now am stuck with another lemon. Can't afford to trade it as it is now a "used" coach, and I will take a $20 to $30K hit. Lighten up Ducksface, maybe you just don't understand the situation!

Fleetwood has had known quality issues for quite some time. A local dealer here, before they were bought by Camping World, quit selling Fleetwoods because they would arrive riddled with issues and REV Group did not want to reimburse dealers for repairs prior to customer delivery. They also were extremely slow on approving warranty work for customers. This happened around 2015 or 2016.

Very true. We've had problems with our '15 Hurricane since we got it in '18. Just too late in life for us to change!

As consumers we are in charge. Manufacturers can not sell what we do not buy.

Sounds like a great opportunity for an "accidental fire" on the side of a not too busy back road...one of those roads it will take then forever to get to you. Turn that frown upside down. Sometimes you just gotta do what you just gotta do.

If there was excellent QC, there would be no need to replace as often. No one to blame-we made the purchase and we do enjoy the MH. For us much easier for travel that our 5th wheel.

This is true... But how long would the manufacturers be in business, and able to sell us our next RV?
