water pump

Just finished winterizing my 2018 vegas 24.1 The water pump did not have enough suction to pull the antifreeze out of the 1 gallon jug. I had to attach a plastic tub to the pump inlet and use a funnel to pour the liquid into the pump to get it through out the entire system. Anyone have a better solution? Maybe a better pump?

Did you have the valve between the pump and the water tank closed? If so did you have a good seal on the pipe you added to the injection point? If so did you open up a faucet while you were letting the pump prime?
