My toilet runneth over

Wow, what next? Had visitors. She used the toilet. We are on city water. Evidently (and we have had issues with it) the valve didn't close all the way, water continued to run, dump was closed, so all of a sudden the house is flooded. Running out of the toilet. Afterwards we were approached by a number of campers who have had the same problem. Sticky valve, coach gets flooded. One camper said that his insurance would cover the valve, had it replaced, did the same thing. SO AFTER ALL THIS, IS THERE A CURE OR DO YOU JUST BITE THE BULLET AND GET A TOILET THAT ACTUALLY HAS A WORKING VALVE? i AM CURIOUS TO KNOW HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. THE TOILET IS THE CERAMIC ONE.

Ouch!
If guests use the bathroom: I sneak in after they're out, and survey the damage...
If water were to have been left running: it's easy to catch that way...

Sorry to hear that your coach got the bath that you never wanted it to get.
