Need help with Bluetooth transmitter

I purchased the TAOTronics wireless Bluetooth 2-in-1 adapter so that I can get sound from the house speakers when watching TV.
I plugged the red and white connectors into the back of the Seiki TV. The device is set to transmit. I've paired the transmitter to the Axxera radio via Bluetooth and it shows that it's successfully paired, but I'm not getting any sound from the house speakers!
What have I done wrong?

Are you sure its connected to the TV outputs and not inputs?

We have a different model for the transmitter, and had to plug it into the headphone jack to make it work. We couldn't make it work via the red and white connectors. But it works fine via headphone jack, though.

When you plug into headphone jacks, does the sound come through the house speakers?
Jamie, no I'm not certain. That may be the problem.

Yes, it does. In our case, we're doing it with the radio in the bedroom. (Forget the brand name) Speakers are in the bottom of the over-bed cabinets. In your case, you'd probably need to pair it with the front system.

Never figured out why ours didn't work via the red and white RCA plugs. Never occurred to me they might be inputs instead of outputs. I'll need to check that out!
