New Synergy

Are there any Synergy owners out there?
We just purchased a 2020 Synergy 24MB and will take it out on a one night trip tomorrow. We traded our ACE 27.1 which had loads of space but wanted to downsize and get something that will take the hills better than the ACE. We are hoping the diesel will do the trick and get better gas mileage.
One problem is where to store the sewer hose. We put it in the large compartment on the drivers side. But, here is a place to store the sewer hose in the small compartment where the water hook up is. But ours won't fit as the fitting on the end is a little too big. Has anyone had this problem? Solution?

Kathy

In my opinion, (Occupational Health & Safety Consultant), you never should store a sewer hose in or near a water hose due to the pathogenic contamination occurrence. You can: 1. Store the sewer hose in the in the larger, exterior compartment 2. store the sewer hose in a plastic box and cover it and store that box inside another exterior storage compartment 3. Make a PVC tube storage component and mount it under the body or in the rear of the coach exterior 4. Purchase a pre-made (Camping World has two styles) sewer hose storage compartment and mount it under the body or in the rear of the coach exterior.

I have a Vegas 25.2 and I store my sewer hose in the compartment with the sewer hose connection and tank drain valves. Keeps everything in one place.

I have a Synergy and I hear you. I store mine in a rubbermaid box with snap lid and store in the compartment above water connections box. Another thing I don't like is that you can't shut the door on the water connection box when the sewer hose is hooked up. But mine is a 2017 maybe they have changed that. Over all though, very happy with the vehicle after getting most of the bugs out of it.

I have the Thor Siesta 24SS on the sprinter chassis. I bought a sewer hose tube and attached it to the under side of my mh with large worm clamps. To access the hose I open the passenger rear outside compartment and open the hose tube when needed. I also carry a 5 foot extention hose and keep it inside a plastic tupper ware container and I try to park within the 5 foot reach of that hose and not drag out the longer hose. Been working great. I keep that tupper ware container inside the large outside compartment on the driver's side.

I think you will love the new sprinter. I have had mine across 13 southern states, up and down California and never had any issues climbing the grades. My friend has a class A and has had some slow speeds climbing grades.

Can you wind it up into the "Dump Bay"?
That's what we did with ours; but it's not a Synergy...
There's a 15 foot "slinky coiled up in there, and room for another 10 footer.

Thanks for those suggestions. We are going to put it in a bin in the large storage right now and will look into the other options.

There is no dump bay in this synergy. But that’s where we kept it in the Ace.

How about mounting a carrier underneath the RV for it?
Something like this:

If I'm given enough time to think about something: I can usually find a way to spend someone else's money!
Good luck; I hope you can find an option that works for you!

That is exactly what I did on my Thor Siesta which is identical to the Synergy. It was easy and I used large metal worm clamps to attach it to the underside of the mh.

Do you have any pictures of that installation?

Sewer hose storage

I don't have any pictures right now and my mh is parked in the storage facility. Send me your email address and when I go down there I will take a few pictures and text them to you. I have a quick trip to Salt Lake City leaving on 08/11/19 so I will be going to get the mh sometime around 08/09/19. My email address is penbowler@earthlink.net. It was pretty easy and I had to use a piece of 2x4 scrap wood to help secure it to the undercarriage with the large metal worm hose clamps. My mh has electric stabilizers in the rear that I don't use since I had the Equalizer Hydraulic Levelers installed. I strapped the tube with the wood to them and the frame. The tube I bought was expandable in length. I can access the sewer hose once I open the rear passenger compartment door. Easy to get to when I need it.

Sprinter on the Skyline Drive

We drove the entire Skyline drive through Shenandoah National Park. Hills were no problem. We never exceed 210 temp. 17 MPG. We just bought a Jeep toad I have heard good thing about how will the sprinter will tow it. Best of luck with your Synergy.

You do not need to keep the door open if you install a cable hatch like this on the bottom of the storage compartment. It is very easy and you then can pass the hose through the hatch.
