Perhaps an "Off-Topic" area would be useful.
It would give the more whimsical among us; a place to liven things up!

It seem to me to be a fairly active forum. I post things, and get responses, I see and follow many topics I find to be of interest.

Um guys keep in mind that the original post here that said "its awfully quiet around here" was from 2012! LOL
I can't speak to how utilized the forums where before our Thor purchase in 2014 but it seemed fairly active when I joined. I know this place has become the go to forums for anything Axis/Vegas related and many other Thor motorhome models.
Just keep in mind the "its quiet around these parts" comments is over 5 years old now LOL.

I saw the date... and since somebody dug it up: it was time to remind folks that we are what we make of this place.

Continuing from a fat finger “send”. I have been able to correct problems because of the knowledge and expertise of those on this forum.
Thanks

I like knowing this site caters to us Thor owners! It's like being a member of a car club. I have a Dodge Dakota R/T and am a long time member of the national club for that specific model. It's fun to get ideas from other people with the same (or similar) vehicle. I have learned alot by reading this forum. Keep up the good posts everyone.

No doubt: there's nothing like a shared interest; to get the best opinions flowing!

Well now, The bride and I are first time er's and brand spanking new to the MHRV sort of thing. We looked at other sites and many other MH's before we took the plunge on 11 /4/2017 and closed the deal on our 2018 Thor Axis. The only recreational thing we had before for a few years was a 20 ft motor boat on the Hudson River.
As stated we started looking for other outings in retirement and it took 10 years to know the Axis was what we thought was what would fit our needs best. That decision was made when I found this site and it volumes of sound information, fantastic exchange of that and the willingness of other to jump in and assist the new comer into MH and RVing.
It is so much to learn, so much to read ( yes I did download the excellent manual ) and it is in our MH all the time! I have asked questions on issues I was STILL confused with...even after reading the down loaded manual and got some real easy helpful info on how to operate some important things.
So my line is simple...don't make me an orphan any time soon. The bride and even Hans our Therapy Dog needs all the help and comfort of MH RV'ing friends that will put up with our dime and sometimes stupid questions.
This forum is a god saver when you need assistance, it's a fantastic place filled with fantastic people who care about me and the bride, just 2 newbies from the Hudson Valley of NY.
To those who have helped us so far we truly thank you. This forum rocks! < K9Piper <

I have used this forum for over 2 years when I bought our Windsport. I usually don't ask question because I just look it up and someone has had the same problem and find my answer. This forum has been my eductional tool. When ever I have a problem, I come here to solve it. I have learned so much and want to thank everyone for sharing their problems and solutions.

As a newbie to the RV world I can say without hesitation this forum has been an invaluable tool getting to know and understanding my ‘17 Vegas. It has saved my bacon on more than one occasion. Thanks again to all that participate. It’s a great community of experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly folks.

There is not native function for a thumbs up. You can send a private thanks via the thanks button (yes, I know it's not what you asked for really..) but that's about it. From time to time we have looked at options for a Facebook-esque like button but continue to think that posting affirmations rather than a click to like is better for the community, although perhaps not easier.

Thanks for the reply Janet. I do agree with the rationale for posted affirmations but that effort in itself, I believe, hinders a simple "Oh, yeah!" response. I understand that if it isn't native to the software, it's a non-starter. Thanks for efforts to the invisible moderators!
