Pocket doors
Anyone have trouble with the pocket doors on a 2018 Thor ACE 27.2? Mine fell off the track, not the one that locks, the one that follows, which it doesn't do.

I don't have the same unit as yours, however, I cannot keep one door shut. It seems the pin does not engage far enough into the hole overhead in the track to lock. Another thing on my bucket list to fix.. Now I stretch a bungee from the bathroom to the kitchen cabinet knobs which holds the door open when traveling.

I have actually been thinking about getting rid of the doors, a good curtain would do the same thing, would be a lot safer than the door falling off driving down the road. but it is new and it should work, I hate to decrease the value of the unit. Can anyone point me to somewhere that I can understand how the pocket doors operate, I think a part or something is missing. I can take it back to CW but they will have it forever, been there and done that already. Thank you.

We never drop off our coach at CW. They make only two appointments per day where we go near Memphis. We even sit in our coach while they work on it. Usually it is one of the better Tech's. But! It will usually take all day!

Good news! I talked to the folks at Thor Motorcoach, sent them pictures and they are going to send new doors, hardware, and rails. Very nice of them! Thanks for all of your replies. I have gotten quite a lesson on pocket doors however, seems I was missing part# 2054 multi door pull catch, this research I did on my own. The other things that were bad, are probably door roller mounting plates. I found the info at: johnson hardware in case anyone else needs to: 111BP Bypass Pocket door hardware, they have diagrams there.

I have a 2015 Hurricane and early on the doors cam off the tracks and split the wood. Very poor design. I took them both off and put wood glue on where the bottom ripped apart and put them back together. I found a pin latch suggested on one of the forums and use one to attach the inner door to the wall on top and the other to attach the outer door to the inner door on the bottom. They are used to secure the doors while traveling. It's been over two years now and never had another problem with them.

I have had my doors close twice while driving my 2016 Quantum PD31. The doors came off the pin on the bottom both times. I am looking for a solution to this problem as well

They make a universal strap, that you can install to prevent that. I ordered one for mine, so it doesn't happen again.

Here is what I did. I bought two of these latches (first photo). The bottom latch secures the inside door to the wall and the top latch secures the inside door to the outside door. They are very easy to unlatch and they have worked for me for over two years without any problems.
Good luck and safe travels!
