Inverter Question

Hello Everyone,
I'm new to RVing and this forum. My husband and I bought a 2017/2018 Thor Miramar last August and we spent the first 6 months getting things fixed. We think we finally have it in pretty good shape but wondering about the inverter. The inverter will only run the refrigerator. when we are driving. Shouldn't it also power the TVs and maybe microwave and electrical outlets. Just wondering because originally we had an inverter but no switch to turn it on inside the RV. Somehow they forgot to install that. Once they did it is only linked to the refrigerator. Before we go in for more service just wanted to ask if anyone knew. It is a XM1800 inverter Xantrex pro.
Thanks

Typical Miramar wiring for the inverter, is to supply the duplex 120 volt receptacles for the residential refrigerator, TV sets, the BOMB (video switch box) and the outside kitchen frig (if installed). No other 120 volts receptacles would normally be wired for inverter power.

The coach's 120 volt coach wiring includes a bypass relay that allows generator and shore power to bypass the inverter when those power sources are available. Behind my inverter, which is under the bed, is a circuit junction box that connects the all the inverter powered circuits together and to the inverter's output. It is possible this junction box is connected directly to the power center and bypasses the inverter. If so this is a simple fix by a qualified electrician.

Welcome!

I can't address the Miramar, but we added a 1200 watt inverter to our Vegas on the wall behind the front passenger seat. With it, we can run a small fan all night, or a crockpot all day, without running the generator.

We had the same unit in our previous Class A. I mounted it in that place because it is a short run to the house batteries. Easy DIY mod.
