Plug leads on top of roof

Hello. I have a 2018 Thor Freedom Elite 22FE. I noticed a few days ago while looking on the roof, 2 leads that are capped and go back into roof, not connected to anything on the roof. Does anyone know what these 2 leads would be for? I'm thinking possibly for solar or ? Or how would I trace to tell what they may be for? Thanks in advance.

Yup! You're all set to start bolting solar panels to your roof***

Where do the wires exit in the coach?

So I just bought a 2018 Quantum RC25 and it also has the solar connectors on the roof but I cannot find the other end of the wires! Crawled around under the coach by the batteries without any luck.
Anyone got any ideas?
I have 2 x 100W flexible panels ready to install when I find the wires!
Thanks,
Steve

Found them!!

Yes they were under the bed!
Who would know that a red and black wire from the roof turn into a white wire and a black/yellow wire behind the fuse panel???
Got everything installed and working - 2 x 100W flexible panels, fuses and a controller.
Thanks for the help!

I used an AllPowers 20A Solar Charger Controller Solar That I bought on Amazon for $20 with two 100W AllPower flexible solar panels that I stick to the roof with Eternabond ESW tape. I installed the controller at the end of the bed with 30A fuses to the panels and the battery.
System works really well and we have spent 7 nights so far without being hooked up to shore power. Being a new coach all lights are LED and we do not have an inverter.
Batteries stay charged just fine!
If there is a downloaded with the controller it's that there is very little data about what is going on. There's a state of charge indicator that is just a 5 bar display and an arrow that shows when the system is charging. It works but as an engineer I would like more data.
Overall very happy for a $500 investment.

Glad you got it sorted out. We have the same “pre-wired” situation.

So were the two wires just sitting there unattached to anything? Were they wrapped together? Did you run wire to the batteries or did you use wires already there?

Pete

The wires were together in the black corrugated sleeving (like all the rest!!). They were not obvious because the end was tucked in amongst the rats nest.
I connected the battery via the isolation switch that is controlled by the house battery switch by the entry door and located under the bed. I did this because I was concerned that the controller would drain the batteries since we keep the RV in covered storage.

We have a 2017 Quantum PD31 we purchased new a year ago. Curious if you have experienced problems (covered by warranty or not).

The main issue we had was that the coach was noisy going down the road and I found that the rubber mat in the cab was not sealed against the coach floor leaving a 1/4" gap to the outside world. This was due to the incorrect installation of the mat That I fixed and now the coach is quiet. I also ended up fixing one of the rear side marker lights that had a broken wire.
Sorry from that it's been a pretty typical RV.....
