Propane again

Bought 2018 Thor Windsport and as with previous RV I had, the propane system is a constant headache to get working right.
Had to have new inverter with remote switch installed so fridge now runs off batteries or propane. Now Gas hot water heater keeps cutting out and light showing pilot out keeps blinking. I tried lighting the stove and starting fridge on propane to get the gas moving but still no luck.
I have been wondering that when the dealer initially fills propane tank if they purge the tank or not ? Local hardware store says that must be done!
I am using electric heater but would rather use the propane ! Thoughts anyone ?

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago. It drove me nuts until I discovered that the valve had been shut off by service folks when it was in the shop for repairs the previous week.

Sometimes it's the simplest things cause the most hair-pulling.

Pop's not alone on this one. Pulled the RV out of storage to get the tank filled and it took 1gal. Problem: The last person to service the tank closed the valve and never re-opened it.

Assuming that the valve is open and ready for battle: have you actually gotten things lit... ever?

The propane lines might be airbound. See if you can get the stovetop lit, and let it run for about five minutes. Then: try starting up the 'Fridge with propane power, and see what happens...
After that: add in your hot water heater too!
Good luck!

I keep my valve closed whenever the coach is in storage or driving. It’s only open when something is actually lit.

At least that keeps you in the habit of being aware of it's status...

This cures most propane ignition issues

Light all the burners independently

It may take a bit longer for a new tank

And a hole lot longer: for an empty one!
