Protecting the roof of our VEGAS

I haven't really ever seen this mentioned on here.

We keep the front and end cal, as well as the side walls washed and waxed. However, is there something that we need to be doing to the roof other than washing?

I don't think so. That membrane is pretty tough.

I guess you could 303 the whole thing to help protect it from UV.

The last time I washed mine I used the Tedford TPO/Rubber roof cleaner then once dry I sprayed and rubbed in 303 on the entire roof/vent covers/AC cover.

But I think the 303 only really lasts a few month but I figured something is better than nothing.

My RV is stored inside a building so it says pretty clean - but I figured I would still inspect and wash the roof once a year.

TPO is a VERY durable material, it’s also used as commercial building roofing. And you can imagine how often that gets treated, try never!

Wash when you feel like it, but mostly you need to go up and check the caulking, it does need maintenance.

TPO. Good stuff, very tuff material, low to no maintenance except occasional check of the caulking!

Dicor rubber roof wash and protectant, 1 gal each from Amazon, $60 for the 2 and should last through 4 washes, so about $15yr. Have new Vegas, wash and protect in the fall at end of season, check all caulking fall and spring after out cold winters.

Thanks for all the responses.

I figured the TPO was pretty durable, but wanted to do what can to keep our baby in good shape...

I envy LWR having a building to park in.. Maybe some day..

Washing often will keep the black marks off the side. My last MH was 16yrs old and I just kept it washed often it was still in good shape when I sold it. I will suggest something that is great to do if you want to keep your coach looking good and shine like a new one. When I sold my old MH it shined like a new one. I sold it the same day I put it on RV traders. On Amazon you can buy this product called Polly Glow Polly Prep. On a new unit you don’t need the prep but you put five coats of the Polly Glow on all the fiberglass it’s easy to do and every year you put one coat on it. It will
Always look like new and wouldn’t fade out it protects the decals etc. I’ve told people who’s units have faded out and they are so happy but it’s better to protect it before it gets that way. You don’t need to wax it anymore.
