Question looking for answer.

This question is for everyone. I'm interested in the statistics. Here we go. "If you own a motorhome, travel trailer, fifth wheel, class A,B C Super C or a small teardrop, why do you still go to RV shows? I have my theories but let's see what you think.

Jeff

Its fun to see whats new; if there is any innovation (usually not) and if there is something new is it something we like that I could add to our motorhome.

In addition, the local show always has a fair amount of campgrounds and accessories to look over as well.

Lastly, if there is something that would really catch our eye we may consider upgrading but that is a remote chance at this point.

For a few reasons

1. To look at the vendor displays and see if there is anything new
2. To see if there are any new innovations or features that are worth investigating
3. To mess with the minds of the dealers and sales people
4. To warn other folks about certain dealer practices while the sales folks are present

The DW has accused me of being a real sick puppy when it comes to items 3 and 4.

All of the above, me too. I also go to reinforce past RV decisions.

Interesting Gerry, my wife said the same thing, "To reinforce that we made the right decision."

I don't go to RV shows. Why would I want to pay money to get in to one? Every now and then I will roam the lot of a dealership to see what's new. That is free.

It's something different to do and to see what's new.

A few highlights from my 7 hours at the big Tampa show:
-so many RVs, so many people and so many vendors. So many eager sales people, too.
-picked up a few ideas I may use on my coach for convenience. Someday.
-learned about some new RV resorts we might try.
-passed countless offers of free nights for just enduring a sales pitch.
-looked in just one of several million dollar plus motorcoaches.
-had some interesting conversations with company reps.
-saw some innovative pop ups and truck campers.
-was impressed by the number, quality and price tags of the Airstreams, like Chance said.
-walked by all the inside vendors, skipping many I've explored, and some I've bought before.
-ate a $10 sandwich and enjoyed a break to sit.
-saw a lot of dogs and one pet pig.
-walked over 13000 steps.
-left with most of my money still in my pocket!

I like looking at the ones I could never afford.
I like looking at the additional toys.
It's a cheap days entertainment.

Talking

I enjoy touring the ultra-fancy, super expensive rigs and telling the salesgoobers how much I like every single thing about them. When they suggest signing on the dotted line, I tell them that my lawyer said I should hold off until that nasty bankruptcy thing is off my credit file.
