Radio Console

I have had my new 2017 A.C.E into the dealership 3 times to fix the remote camera connection. I am now on a 30 day road trip and the cameras are acting up. Can anyone tell me how to remove the console to access the rear of the Axxera radio?

Its probably easier to simply pull the radio out of the dash. You should have received two "radio removal tools" in your Thor bag with all the worthless instructions (they look like two U shaped pieces of wire). You push the hoops into two sets of holes on either side of the radio and pull--I think, that usually is the standard way to pull out a double din radio (it is for ours but we have the Jensen).

Great pics of disassembled console posted yesterday here:
Thor Forums - View Single Post - gmtech is in the house! lol. Who?
(The back of the radio is visible in the panel sitting on the drivers seat in the first pic!)

I'm with Jamie - use the tool and pull the radio instead!
Takes a little jiggling to get the right side pressure to release - then pulls right out.. 15-30 seconds work.
(If you don't have the tool, auto parts stores sell them for a couple of bucks...)

Note that the disassembled console in those pics is a Vegas and not and ACE (Vegas is an E-Series chassis, ACE is F-53 so there are subtle differences).

I know... was just showing how much simpler the 15-30 second pull with the tool is... unless of course you are getting in there for other repairs/upgrades.

Or just make one for free by cutting a wire coat hanger into a couple pieces and bending it into a U. I believe that is what I've still got in the back of my toolbox for removing radios.

Look for wires loose or dangling under the dash. One of mine did not work because the wires were not even attached to the cigarette lighter.
