Refridgerator help

We just purchased a Quantium and wondering how to get the fridge cool before we are on the road? Do you use the invertor? We have propane which I thought would work, but we don’t know how. We’re brand new to this and the manuals do not help. Would appreciate any input.

Put the fridge in AUTO: Plug in your coach and it will cool on 120 VAC.
Unplugged, it will automatically switch to propane.
USE/STORE switch for the coach has to be in USE and the propane has to be on for this to work.

I guess first question should be, can you plug your unit in? If so plug in and turn frig. on. If you can not plug in you will have to use the propane. Make sure your house batteries are charged, you have proplane, the use/store switch is in the use mode. You can either turn the frig to Auto or Propane.

If you are only able to plug in at your home, then just get the adapter to plug it into a wall socket/extension cord. Make sure everything is off except your frig and battery charger.

Another trick you can use if you are not going to be able to allow your frig to cool overnight before loading, freeze a couple large bowls of ice and put one in the freezer and one in frig. After running the frig a couple hours you should be able to remove them and load.

Note that we don't know the model Quantum they have: Some are offered with a standard RV refer and some are offered with a residential one.

The type of refer changes the answer to the question (my guess is that they have a residential one because they mention an inverter which only comes with Quantum's with a residential refer).

Yep, you're correct; if he has a 31 he has a residential "Refridgerator" and any answer concerning propane would be NA.
