That’s a first for me. I have had 4 RVs with the overhead AC and never seen rust come out of any of them. Did you figure out where the rust was coming from? Is it possible that during the installation someone left something inside the cover that’s slowly rusting? Is the rust stain on the roof or only on the side?

Since I don’t have an Ace, I am not sure of what and where I am in your pictures. Could you take an overview so we can put them in better context. You’re right, sure looks like rust coming from inside somewhere. But I don’t know where that somewhere is from your photos.

To me it looks like there's a screw under there rusting to get the rust off I would use that Iron Out product it's powder put it in a little bowl and let it get to a liquid form and just keep putting a wet rag on it or spray it on there and it'll take that rust right off

Good way to get the rust off, but that will not solve your problem. It will continue to rust until you find where the rust is coming from and deal with it.

I'm seeing the photos - but still having a hard time visualizing where on the rig these are... especially as this forum is known to 'rotate' (or not rotate) photos on occasion...
A larger view showing the areas you are looking at would help...

Definitely something there that shouldn't be resulting in the rust flowing... Need to see where it starts its flow - and find the exposed metal.

Sorry. I’m with gmc, I have no idea what part of the RV I am looking at in these 4 photos. We need a picture of the whole AC unit and roof portion that these pictures are part of.

It looks like he has an old rusty screw in that trim that holds the plastic ribbon?
