RV-specific intercom systems?

They make just about everything else for RVs (including special-sized toilet paper!), it seems to me that someone would have thought of this, and maybe they have:

Specially designed intercom systems for RVing.

We have a itty-bitty Gemini (Class C), and my wife sits on the bench behind me when we're on the road, and she cannot hear me unless I yell, and vice-versa. I cannot imagine what it must be like in a Class A Land Yacht.

So...is there a solution out there? Someone MUST have thought of this! (And yes, we've tried walkie talkies, but what a pain in the butt, you gotta remember to charge them, they sound like crap, and you're actually broadcasting to the immediate surroundings.)

Have you thought about a set of 2-way radios with headsets (Amazon)? (as a bonus those may go up to 36 miles!--which means they can be useful for backing into a campsite)

I love technology but don't see the need as compact as they are. Maybe a "driver to passenger" intercom on the gas A's might be nice. Amazing how quietly we all try to just "tinkle".

I keep the music turned up loud enough, that the Missus just sits and sulks quietly!

Well they use to have something like this back in the early 70's.

When I was a kid we had a "slide in camper" for our pickup truck and my dad installed something like this so we could talk back and from from the cab to the camper while driving. I think mostly Mom like it because she could listen in to see if we were fighing. Surely somebody still makes something like this..... If not Im sure you could find a household intercom that you can make work.

Can't ask the missus to muss up her hair, unless it's the one-ear type. Even then, you gotta charge them. I'm looking for something installable, or at least hang on a wall. And no, home intercom systems won't do, they are almost all too full of static, or have crappy mics.

Oh, dear, I'm just trying to picture my missus just sulking quietly for 300 miles...um....uh... Nope. Not even 30. How fortunate you are.

Again, no, nothing that we would have to add to a checklist, or might make her the slightest bit uncomfortable, such that she would take it off, and then it becomes almost worthless.

I'm picturing something more along the lines of speakers installed with built in directional mics, or maybe the driver's unit has a hand-held mic. Were I to design it myself, with the intent of marketing it, I would make a 3 channel version with the land yachts in mind, one for midships, one for the aft quarters, and maybe even one for the loo.

I just can't believe no one has done this...

After a couple of hours of playing "Zombie Stomp", "Iron Man", and "Godzilla": her eyes glaze over, and she quiets down a bit...

Just trying to figure out where you would put them...and use them. People you would be calling would just hear your voice at the same time. It might cause an echo effect, huh? I can see me now..."NO...DON'T TALK DIRECTLY BACK TO ME....ANSWER ME BACK ON THE INTERCOM!!!"

Maybe this is what you're looking for:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My wife in the passenger seat and my 81 YO MIL in the seat behind me have no problem carrying on a conversation while underway in my class A after insulating the doghouse and surrounding areas.

I got tired of charging the batteries. I just put in new batteries every day when we are traveling and she is trailing behind in the car. We stop at an RV park, get set up thru the radios (I set up all the hoses, lines and cords) and maybe next day break down to move, then change the batteries and get going. Ok sometimes we get interference but it's ignored.
