Of you already have direct TV you may want to stay with it. The king systems are nice. They have different models to choose from, from ones that are mounted to the top of your RV that allow you to watch TV driving down the road, to ones like the tailgater with are domed units that you set on the ground and once hooked up with search for satellites and start working, to ones that look just like the dish you have at home that sit on a tripod and you have to manually set.
I will tell you the direct TV systems are more expsive than the dish Network systems.

We went with the winegard SWM3, which is a permanent roof mount, but for direct its so easy. One button, inside the coach, it deploys, finds and locks on the three satellites required for HD TV. When you are ready to roll, one button, it automatically folds down flat on the roof, and you are good to go. It is a bit expensive, but IMO so worth it, once its installed.

Do you want something that you can use while driving down the road or do you want something just to use when you are parked? How much are you willing to invest? These will determine what you go with more than anything else.

Don't really need in motion. Husband likes to focus on the road. Prefer portable because I like to be under trees. Thanks for any input.

Go with king tailgater. Dish is cheaper than the one for direct TV. But since you already have direct TV it might end up cheaper per month on subscription.

Does the king do direct tv. I was told I would only pay $7 monthly if my direct tv, once I get satellite dish. Then I'll pick up same channels as at home.

Don't believe the king will do HD, if that is an issue for you.

I am looking into this too now. I have DishNetwork service at home.

Camping world now has both single and dual tuner options for the Tailgater and the Playmaker.

What is the differences between these for the ~$50 price difference?

Thank you. No HD though, so just wondering how you like picture? Is it clear enough? I think that's what we are going to go with....

KingTailgaterQuest is the DirectTV version on the portable 3 satellite automatic antenna 'dome' with convenient carry handle, and two coax outputs. It can sit anywhere, or on your roof, and doesn't have to be on a tripod or even be too level... it's so nice to be so portable.
While our Dish version rides on our roof most of the time, I can move it on the roof or bring it easily down to the ground if need be.

DirectTV's portable antennas, though, won't give you HD channels... bummer.

True no HD, but picture is good. We use it all the time,it takes a few minutes to find the satellites after that it's all good. We got ours from CW on sale for about 5 hundred complete.

We went with DirecTV Now and stream with our unlimited AT&T plan. We have had satellite (and have a dome mounted on the roof) but now we don't have to deal with finding open sky.

I too use a Winegard carry out but I bought a metal mount that I bolt to my ladder on the back of the coach. Requires carrying a ladder with me all the time but not a problem.
I have DirecTV and use two receivers from home when I travel. I leave them connected inside the coach and by the time I get the two external cables run to the carry out and connect the 12v power, the satellite has been located and the receivers are doing their thing to make the connection.
When I'm done using the receivers at the end of the camping season, I call DirecTV and "suspend service" to the two receivers, saving the $7.00 per month each. No HD on the road but I have it at home. I don't think the picture is any different on the road.

So using a receiver from home works? Because I have 3 at home and barely use but 1.
