Ricky, Im not sure, when I used my old portable unit we left the receiver in AV cabinet, I had a Sat plug in an outside compartment. In my new challenger we don't have a out side sat plug I bought a through the window cable from Amazon and ran wire to AV cabinet. It worked but not the best.

Out old Sat dish need a separate 12 volt power source to move the dish around. We plugged it into the dash 12 volt plug and ran wire out the window as well.

Good luck
